Aaron McAtee Obituary: Aaron McAtee, a resident of Monticello, Iowa, and an employee at Fareway Meat and Grocery passed away tragically on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. He was confirmed dead through a social media publication that read “Please do an extra act of kindness today and every day. Do this in honor of Aaron McAtee. What was Aaron McAtee’s cause of death?
In a press release, Monticello Police Chief Britt D. Smith stated that when officers arrived at Fareway Meat and Grocery on Tuesday just before 7:30 a.m., they discovered 48-year-old Aaron McAtee shot outside the establishment, next to a loading dock. After being transported to a hospital, he passed away. After determining that Nathan Russell, 38, of East Dubuque, Illinois, was the suspect, the investigators started their search.
